Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson briefly stepped away from the bench to make her Broadway debut over the weekend.
A dream decades in the making, the 54-year-old stepped into the spotlight Saturday night (Dec 14) for a one-night-only performance in the hit jukebox musical “& Juliet,” a modern reimagining of the classic “Romeo and Juliet.”
Speaking to CBS Mornings’ Gayle King, Justice Jackson reflected on the experience, saying, “I think that it means that anything is possible. Five years ago, I was a district court justice; nobody knew who I was. To have both of the pieces of my fondest dreams come true in this little bit of time has been extraordinary for me.”
